Depends who that someone was:

My mother: I'd be so happy for her.

My brother: probably a bit of jealousy

A friend: would depend on who it was….some people just evoke good natured feelings toward them no matter what, others, well…

An acquaintance: probably wouldn't really affect me, I'd think, oh, that's neat, nice, but wouldn't be fixated on it.

I'd feel pretty pissed off if my dumb cousin won the lottery. Here I am working my a** off going to school and working so I can get a decent job and my dumb cousin that has no worries in life wins the lottery?Pretty unfair. But really, who cares, I know I'm doing something more significant in my life than he/she is and the rewards will be priceless.

I can't say I "won" but I was lucky in many ways. I don't feel particularly superior though since I'm not using my gifts to my full potential; I'm attractive, but don't exercise enough or eat well enough; I'm smart and creative, but lack focus and drive. It's hard to feel superior for things I don't have control over, and I do feel depressed over my shortcomings in what I *do* have control over.

I would be completely happy with 5 million dollars.

I chose this amount because there are five people in my family, my husband, myself, and three kids. That would make a million for for each of us.

I would put 3 million in seperate accounts for each of my children, something in which it will earn more interest than a savings, perhaps cd's. The other two million I would invest for my husband and I for up to 5 years and with the interest made on it would build my dream house and buy a vehicle no longer needing to be held together by duct tape. Of course I will help out family members out by sending them gift cards to dept. stores to dress their kids every year. A yearly paid family vacation somewhere that the rest of my family would generally not be able to afford, kind of like a yearly family reunion only for just my parents and siblings, and his of course. My kids would be able to afford to take horse back riding lessons and karate lessons that they have been begging for. Groceries could be more than $50 a week. I'm sure they wouldn't mind never seeing another noodle again. Then after a few years of enjoying a far less stressful life I would give motivational speaking lectures to the less fortunate or depressed free of charge.
